Ephemeral Floodforest
The Ephemeral Floodforest is a 900L terrarium designed to mimic the dynamic, seasonal environments of tropical rainforests. Its primary inhabitants are Teratohyla pulverata glass frogs, but it also supports a carefully selected community of compatible species, creating a biodiverse ecosystem.
This project combines advanced technology with naturalistic design to provide a habitat that adapts to the frogs' needs throughout the year. Key features include:
-
Advanced Air Circulation: Ensuring consistent airflow to maintain optimal humidity and temperature gradients.
-
Integrated Sensors and Actuators: Constant monitoring and automation for temperature, humidity, and other environmental parameters.
-
Flooding Capability: Simulating seasonal flooding for a realistic replication of the rainy season.
-
Rain and Fog Systems: Enhancing the terrarium’s microclimate with natural rain effects and immersive fog for a lifelike rainforest experience.
-
Misting System: Providing precise hydration for plants and animals.

Cliffside Stream Habitat
The Cliffside Stream Habitat is a carefully designed terrarium that replicates the rugged beauty of streamside cliffs, providing a naturalistic environment for our Theloderma corticale—the Vietnamese mossy frog.
Key features of this habitat include:
-
Rain and Misting Systems: These systems work together to maintain high humidity levels and simulate seasonal rainfall, supporting the frogs' natural behaviors and hydration needs.
-
Flowing Stream: A central stream meanders between two rocky cliffs, creating a dynamic water feature that enhances the aesthetic while optimizing the water area for the frogs.
-
Vertical Cliff Sides: These textured walls provide climbing opportunities and hiding spaces, mimicking the frogs' natural rocky habitats.

Tribolonotus gracilis Enclosure
This custom terrarium was designed to meet the specific needs of red-eyed crocodile skinks (Tribolonotus gracilis), combining functionality with a naturalistic aesthetic.
Key features include:
-
Moist Substrate: A humidity-retaining substrate ensures proper moisture levels to support the skinks' health and comfort.
-
Water Feature: Integrated pools or streams create opportunities for drinking and humidity regulation, reflecting the species' semi-aquatic tendencies.
-
Climbing and Shelter Areas: Strategically placed logs, rocks, and hides encourage natural behaviors such as climbing and burrowing.

Bog Cascade Paludarium
The Bog Cascade Paludarium is an open-front design that showcases the serene beauty of a natural bog environment. This display-focused paludarium blends land and water elements to create a striking and immersive ecosystem.
Key features include:
-
Open Front Design: Provides unobstructed views for an engaging and detailed display of the habitat’s unique features.
-
Waterfall and Stream: A cascading waterfall feeds into a gentle stream, adding movement and a naturalistic touch to the bog landscape.
-
Bog Environment: Carefully curated plants and terrain recreate the wetland conditions of a natural bog, supporting the growth of moisture-loving flora and enhancing the ecosystem's authenticity.

Swamp Wall Drip Terrarium
The Swamp Drip Wall Terrarium is a carefully designed habitat that replicates the lush, humid conditions of a natural swamp environment.
Key features include:
-
Drip Wall: A textured vertical wall continuously fed with water to simulate the damp, mossy surfaces found in swamps, supporting hydration and fostering plant growth.
-
Swamp-Like Terrain: A combination of water and land elements creates a balanced ecosystem, complete with moisture-loving plants and naturalistic features.
-
High Humidity System: Designed to maintain consistent moisture levels throughout the terrarium.

Lush Rainforest Terrarium
The Lush Rainforest Terrarium was a vibrant habitat designed to replicate the dense, tropical forests of Central America. This immersive environment once housed a group of Phyllobates vittatus (Golfodulcean poison dart frogs), providing an ideal setting for their natural behaviors.
Key features included:
Dense Vegetation: A rich array of tropical plants created a lush, multi-layered canopy and ground cover, mimicking the frogs' native rainforest habitat.
High Humidity and Misting System: Maintained optimal moisture levels to support both the frogs and the diverse plant life.
Naturalistic Design: Logs, moss-covered surfaces, and leaf litter added to the authentic look and feel of the terrarium while providing ample hiding and climbing opportunities.
