Our Ephemeral Floodforest terrarium, at dawn

About Us

Since our founding in 2023, Jungle Vault has been driven by a desire to improve the terrarium hobby and the conditions it offers for animals. We started by designing custom-made terrariums that closely mimic natural habitats, providing better environments for animals and a deeper connection to nature for their keepers.

Over time, we realized there was much more we could do to support hobbyists and the animals they care for. This led us to develop a range of practical products, including 3D-printed tools like fan holders, breeding aids, and other accessories, as well as natural background substrates and other solutions to enhance terrarium setups.

In addition to crafting products, we’ve engaged in research conducted in situ—in the natural habitats of the species we care for. By observing their needs and behaviors in the wild and exchanging knowledge with breeders and conservationists, we’ve gained valuable insights that shape our designs and recommendations. These collaborations help us bridge the gap between hobbyists and the broader effort to preserve and understand wildlife.

We believe terrariums are more than a hobby; they’re a way for anyone to connect with nature. Whether it’s recreating a rainforest ecosystem in your home or observing the behaviors of species often hidden from view, terrariums provide a unique opportunity to foster appreciation for the natural world.

As part of this mission, we’ve also dedicated ourselves to improving access to reliable information. We’ve built a comprehensive wiki filled with articles for both newcomers and seasoned keepers and created a forum where hobbyists can exchange ideas, share experiences, and ask questions.

Currently, we’re developing a range of innovative electronics tailored for terrariums, including tools to automate and monitor environmental conditions. While these products are still being tested and certified, we’re excited about the possibilities they open for making terrariums easier to manage and more attuned to their inhabitants’ needs.
